My Fresh Squeezin's (Blogger)

Ahh, the freshly squozen thoughts of Dalum. I try to post as often as I can, but sometimes life is just too busy to get stuff out in a reasonable amount of time. Please enjoy my random thoughts and drop me a line if you like.

10/06/2005 05:45:00 PM - WTF!??!? One of the last days I ride my bike and I get in an accident!

Isn't that my fucking luck? I'm on the way back from work and some dumb bitch plows into me as I am turning the corner OF MY FUCKING HOUSE! I wasn't even 100 feet from the garage. I've got my blinker on, I'm almost over the apex of the corner then I hear this screech from behind me and I'm almost on the other side of the street. I look up and what do you know? It's a Denali! Fucking middle class bitch jockeying and SUV. (I bet she was using her cell phone too.) She proceeds to unroll her passenger side window and asks me if I'm "OK???" She proceeds to pull forward and I think to myself, HELLO NO!!! She isn't attempting a hit and run!!! I started to look at her plate as I turn the bike around to park it and get off. She was just pulling off of the busy street to avoid the rest of traffic. She parks at a business next door and hops out to check on me. I go back and look at the bike and amazingly enough, I've got a bent license plate and a cracked plate frame. We exchanged info and we went on our ways. I took a medium paced stroll around the block to see if anything was out of whack. Luckily, everything is OK structure-wise that I can tell. I'm a bit shaken and in shock, but I'm alright. Heh, she said that she tries to take more caution when she sees motorcyclists on the road... My ass. Dumb bitch.

10/04/2005 09:47:00 PM - Well on the way to a nice smooth session.

We are into our 3rd week of classes with Young Champions.  This is my 2nd season with the company and things are running nice and smooth.  Much to my amazement (and my "staff") my class count went from 27 kids at best to 42!  I don't know what I would have done so far without the help of Nyra, Seth and Lisa.  Nyra for making things run smoothly and organized, Seth for the ability to teach at the same level as I (no confusion or stepping on toes in fornt of the students) and Lisa for just knowing how the kids work.  With the four of us working together well we've had kids go from not paying attention and intentionally being difficult to being well on their way to being great martial arts students.

10/03/2005 06:45:00 PM - A sad day for rally drivers everywhere.

As some of you may know, I hate NASCAR and love drifiting and rally...  WRC to be specific.  I havn't posted much about my love of the sport recently but with the magic of TiVo I've been able to catch up this season.  The good part is Colin Mcrae and Nikki Grist got back into a car riding for Skoda!  Skoda, being a bottom rung manufacturer in points for WRC is reevaluating their stance on rally racing.  If Skoda continues next year then we may see a dedicated return of Colin and Grist!  With every good thing there needs to be a  balance.  The bad news comes in the form of a fatal accident.  In the final day of the Rally GB driver Markko Martin lost control of their Peugeot resulting in a fatal accident for Michael Park.  A strong team broken by an accident.  Markko Martin withdrew from the following event in Japan.  A sad day and turn of events for the WRC.
