It's Wednesday. You will never guess what happened to me after everyone left from a little martial arts/work out session. Nyra and I went out to get some food and finished our evening. We were getting ready for bed and she had asked for a foot rub. I started to rub her left foot and felt a little discomfort in my abdomen. She asked what was wrong, I told her and I said I'd finish her foot rub. It shouldn't have been a big deal. By the time I got to the middle of her right foot, I had shooting pains going through me and I had to stop. I tried to sit up, that didn't help. Nyra suggested to stand up and see if that helped... I fell to the floor. Not good at that point. Call my parents and my dad said it sounds like kidney stones. (It just happens to run in my family.) I took a bunch of anti-inflamitory medicine and tried get soem rest and see how I would be in the morning. Morning came, had a lot of discomfort but was ok to walk around. I guess I felt good enough to go to work. Boy was I wrong! About 4 hours into work the pain came back and I was sent to the ER. They took a bunch of Xrays, had a cat scan or 2 and even an ultrasound. They said that I had a stone and my LIVER WAS BLEEDING! They had asked if I had fallen earlier that evening and that only thing that I could even remotely say was that we were working out. My buddy, Seth, was there and we were demonstrating joint locks and throws for student Cody. There was one time where Seth caught me off guard and inserted a throw from Hapkido and it ends with the thrower on top of the throwee. After a few more ultrasounds they determined that they were wrong. Ugh... They finally let me go home. I've been in somewhat pain in varying degrees since then. What a day Thursday was... 2:00p-12:30a in the ER.
