I've had a great time with work since day 1. I've had the ability to take a TON of creative liberties with a bunch of stagnant projects here at the museum. I've had the opportunity to redo the website so it's, at least, workable and usable. They had all the data on there, but it was either out of date or it was just wasn't very easy to work with. Navigation was a bear. That was all cleaned up. I was also able to bring the site into something current as to how things are run. I've added a discussion forum and a VERY functional online store. Some people are hesitant and want to micromanage the store side of it, but I'll deal and make it work. I'm persuasive like that. ;) The site is going to be taking on another change. I'm going to take it FAR FAR away from the ho hum of MS FrontPage. I think I'll push it into either Joomla, Drupal (no cross dressing jokes) or Geeklog. Geeklog seems to be the best choice for content driving, live updates from anywhere (read as NOT RELYING ON FRONTPAGE) along with forum and shopping cart integration. The last 2 things are the most important to me since the 3 major components of the site look vastly different though hold the same "theme" of things.
Today, and all week, I've been working on getting the next issue of the newsletter. They are all amazed that I can just take the info and go. Too bad I'm about 1/2 a day behind on my schedule and deadline, but I'll manage. I've got the production run going for the first set. I'm taking the first one with me. ^_^
You could say I'm a bit proud of my work around here.
