My Fresh Squeezin's (Blogger)

Ahh, the freshly squozen thoughts of Dalum. I try to post as often as I can, but sometimes life is just too busy to get stuff out in a reasonable amount of time. Please enjoy my random thoughts and drop me a line if you like.

1/02/2005 02:22:00 AM - I think I should type from time to time

I've made full use of abusing my audioblog so I'm going to type one this time. It's the new year... For those that live under a rock and just came out today, it's 2005. Easy to type but I bet people all over the palce wrote January 1, 2004 on their checks and had to adjust it or write a new one.

Let's go over some things...
I'm getting fatter by the day - I don't lke it. I've made some sort of resolution that I plan on (and have been) sticking to and I have except for the holiday weekends that just past. (I made the resolutuion before Christmas, btw...) I've been doing some sort of calisthenics and watching what I eat for the most part. I've been eating less and I can tell that even that is working. When I have the urge to eat more, my stomach feels tighter like it shrunk from my regimenting.

I do and don't work for the banks/credit card companies any more - If you have had the urge to listen to my audioblogs then you know of my employment strife and how I'm pretty pissed off about that. I plan on moving forward with my life come Monday and continue to do a little bit of work from my last 2 weeks and find another job or get a new assignment within the company. I'm hoping for the last one.

I'm going back to school - For those that know me, you know that I've had nothing but contempt for schooling from my high school years and on. College didn't seem to be much of a hoot and that left a bitter taste in my mouth. (Thank you Northwood University of Midland, MI.) I've been through a ton of stuff that has changed me and how I lok at things in life so I decided that it's about time that I go back to school. The better part of that is that I'm going back to school excited. I'm excited that I'm excited. You have no clue. The only downer is my employment situation. Currently, I can't even pay for my app fee to the school so I can attend and hopefully ride on the coattails of the government till after I graduate.

My "new" car is toast - Well, it was toast-ish before. The up side to it was that it ran. Of all times, Christmas Eve, I was on my way to pick up Freshness and my car started to dim out. I figured that it was my plug wires again. I stopped the car and adjusted them. Fired the car back up and then it just dimmed right back out... never to start again. After much callign and asking, everyone came to the conclusion that my alternator just wasn't supplying enough to the car. In turn, the car started drawing off of the battery. All of those things just made my 2004 Christmas the best one yet.

So there's the most important things in my life that I'm dealing with on top of being someone's love interest and being a divorced father. Those 2 things in itself are pretty nerve racking at times, but I survive and feel that I'm a better personthe next day. It's a trying experience but I get through it.

Please, 2005, can it be my turn to not be so out of luck this year? ^_^
